The reviews giving this movie 5 stars are clearly paid reviewers or bots. None of the reviews say any specifics about the movie, only how "wonderfully amazing the writing is and spectacularly stupendous the storyline is."
Let me tell you, this movie was terrible. The writer clearly tried to imitate the gore and humor of Deadpool, and fell flat. There was no storyline, no character development, which resulted in zero immersion in the film.
The soundtrack didn't fit the scenes, the writing was all over the place and tried too hard to live up to the R rating, and the story just didn't make sense. The first Suicide Squad was a typical super hero movie, it had a story line which it followed, it introduced you to its characters, and then it set out on its path. This movie just seemed like a bunch of idiots mashed together in a cartoonish way to go on an adventure of blood, bullets, and F bombs.
If it were a full reboot I may feel differently because I'd understand it as simply a different direction. However when they used some of the same characters and actors/actresses from the first movie, to me as a viewer it feels like a pseudo sequel so I expected there to be similarities and there weren't. The actors did their best, but what they were given wasn't of quality. I was disappointed to say the least.
