Still brilliant, what a great actor Lee J Cobb was. The power of the man, the sensitivity of the final scene after all his noise and angst still makes me weep. Everyone in the movie is terrific, acting of the highest order.

Mr Scott of the NYTimes needs to look again, no one can look at such a film and feel it sits 'within the norm of entertainment' unless you have lost the ability to reach back with the help of the film maker and feel for those subjected to such inhumanity. Like the best of these films this is an indictment and a reminder. Original in concept, painful to watch, a credit to all those involved.
