A blast from the word go! Ok...its not Oscar material. If you go into it expecting anything other than camp, silliness and action this movie will not be for you. Tons of action, lots of imaginative ways to kill people. All about fun and camp.

OK. We ripped the band aid off and watched these. In case you didn't know it's a series not a movie. Let me say you'll never see a bigger fan of Mel Brooks brand of comedy. Innuendo, irreverent humor etc. History of the World.part 1 was an incredible film with many fine actors of the day and some insightful, hilarious, irreverent skits. All that to say these skits are less than funny. Some incredibly not funny stinkers, lots of fart noises but all in all you can tell right away from skit 1 this is NOT Mel Brooks at the comedy tiller. This is obviously Nick Kroll, Wanda Sykes and others who are attempting and failing IMO to even come close to the comedy genius of Mel Brooks. Desperately attempting to throw in some connecting threads to the original and utterly failing at it.

I hesitated to watch this movie for years for some reason. That said now that I have it was a moving portrayal by all involved and Johnny Depp as Eugene was one of the most moving, stirring films I have seen. I will never forget Minamata. A must see in my opinion.
