I would rate it a 3.5. Positives: gives people something to think about (symbolism), creates a sense of empathy for ppl of color, Janelle Monet is a great actress, and it puts a spin on modern day isms that are currently a problem today Negatives: the friend group that the main character had was awkward did not seem like authentic friends/the acting was bad, some topics were brought up and then dropped too soon, and people had to re-live a GET OUT type of thing just with a different spin (could of been seen as a positive as well) the movie could of been more scarier than it was, the music was scarier than the content....i think that the creator got caught up in the box of a genre when they had other things in mind that had little to do with horror
