If there was ever a character actor who played his part to perfection, without any effort, whatsoever, and bring is character to life, it was Percy Kilbride. He wasn't acting the part...he was, Pa Kettle.

This movie made in 1939 is, and will ALWAYS BE...the One and ONLY romantic, adventurous and best action movie of Robin Hood, every made. They did it right the first time with a great cast of actors! With wonderful location settings, great sword fighting scene, with Errol and Basel. Along with the every mans heart throb, the gorgeous, Olivia De Havilland. Every other remake of Robin Hood, doesn't come even close to this one.
