Obvious cinematic errors in hill march depicting uphill. Wanders off into the thoughts of the men perhaps trying and failing on "Platoon" and" Apocalypse Now" effects. Strong acting and character depth. Makes Japanese look like insipid fighters which they were not.

Excellent. For Australians and New Zealanders an important window into the history 4 years after Galipolli.
It also has scenes in Turkey, especially the Blue Mosque. Sad but unsentimental I really loved this movie. It is quite believable.

Cinemagraphically stunning viewing (WA) this film has a few flaws . None the least is that the depth of love between the two leading characters at the end is just not convincing for me. Sometimes the leading man's acting falls short. Gritty, real and very Australian this movie is worth watching and a great story but isn't outstanding.
