Bill Simpson

She is quite simply superb, at times reflective, at others spirited and loud in that wonderful Neapolitan way. She is an old survivor, tired and almost broken, but refusing to surrender. The boy gradually comes to share her essential love of life and of others. The supporting cast is excellent . A very good film indeed.
