This series was so raw and triggering but so beautiful to watch the survival. The one star reviewers, have so much lacking in understanding. And parts of this review are geared towards you. Not everyone is given adequate framework for success or survival. She figured it out eventually and kept trying. It captured how abusive relationships can be so convincing and seem safe again, only to fall back in. It was so hard to watch at some points. I went through so much that she did. And the blank stare people seem to be complaining about...it's from years of being numb, surviving, being the adult early on, along with trauma. And the dad, he cared more about her abusive ex than her. Also, you don't leave your kid in the care of an abuser. Sober or not.
