I signed up for Apple+ just to see this series and it was good overall, but not great. As an avid motorcyclist and a new EV owner, I loved the concept of the boys riding the Harley LiveWires and seeing the Rivian support trucks. The scenery was beautiful in South America. Real shame about the issue on Ewan’s bike and that he had to miss a bit of riding with Charlie. Huge kudos to both Harley Davidson and Rivian for putting prototypes in the field for some great testing.
What happened in Mexico!? So they build out this bus (so much effort) that they only used for one overnight stint and then ended up in Juarez. Seems like a huge waste of time/resources.
Why not just ride in the day, then rest in a proper hotel at night if safety was such a concern. Give us some more dialogue, drone shots, and humor. Instead I feel like we got “Pimp My Bus” Mexico 🇲🇽 Edition. No offense to the producer or Mexican skilled workers that made it happen, but it just didn’t flow well.
The final episode seemed so rushed and cobbled together.
It would have been great to set up a Q&A episode 12, where Charlie and Ewan answer questions. I was interested to hear what they had to say after 13k+ miles on EV machines.
