Although I realize it is a fictional portrayal of suggestive real characters, I found the plot somewhat off-centered, but the action and scenes more than made up any negative observations I might had about the movie. My favorite actor was Regina King, I believe she doesn’t get enough credit for her acting resume. In some abstract way, this movie—or the action—-reminds me of another western: Silverado.
I am hopeful based on the last scene, there might be a sequel. If so, I believe that might be a golden opportunity to fill in the plot from the first movie to give us all some greater I fight about these characters. Overall, as a person who grew up watching tons of westerns, I was delighted to see real black men and women being a significant part of that era and thus this movie did that for me.
