Unlike most awfully written, terribly plotted, and dreadfully cliche dying girl romance movies, Life in a Year managed to capture the sorrowful reality of cancer- while not romanticizing the sickness itself. The movie goes very fast, I did not feel like I was watching a blank screen for any part of it- which happens a lot in YA romance movies. Cara and Jaden have an incredible chemistry, and although the vibe of this movie was too cheerful to make me cry, I fell in love with all the characters, the mom, the dad, daryn's two best friends, phil, izabella and daryn. I want to know more about each character which reflects not only on the good acting, but also on the well thought out characters. I recommend 100%, and would definitely watch again
