“Marjaavan” is a well made movie.
It has a style of typical bollywood masala and feels like a movie of early 80’s at times but I felt that was a conscious call.
Sidharth Malhotra has given average performance, Riteish deshmukh steals the show and wins many hearts.
Movie actually has a story (technically and emotionally) , Screenplay has a good pace and few very good scenes. Dialogues are the biggest strength in the writing department, few dialogues are both massy and classy at the same time, Riteish does great dialogue delivery , Sidharth also has some typical dialogues that were written to give movie the power of dialogues but fails to convince by his expressions and timing.
Initially, The movie might feel like a replica of “Ek Villain “ as it have similar casting and characterisation to some extent for the two leads too for three main actors Sidharth, Riteish and shaad randhawa but later on, as the story unfolds- It does not remind you of any of the nuisances of Ek villain and that is very hard to manage but Milap Zaveri does good job there.
Overall, Milan Milap Zaveri has done a good job keeping in mind the intention of making such film. I hope film will do good numbers at box office.
