I wanted the movie to be great so we can see Zack Snyder's vision in the long run. Though I have my beefs with him in movies, we can all agree he makes beautiful movies....But with his beautiful takes...the takes are to drawn out and the shots go on for to long. I will say that this is a better movie then the original release back in 2017. But is it a good movie overall. I'm not one to complain about a movie being to long, especially being on a streaming site. But I will say...there were unnecessary shots. For instance. People in the village singing. That could've been cut. The part where Aqua-man saved the fisherman...could've been cut. Flash saving the girl( I'm sure that's for the future) but that could've been cut. I just feel like some of the beautiful shots just went on to long. Almost as if Snyder was admiring his own work.(Look what I can do) I cant see how so much was cut from the original, shame on you WB. I also see why Zack Snyder wanted this to be a two part movie, where it would've dropped off at the end, I don't know? But there is no way the original film could have had all this info and story without cutting out significant footage. This movie was definitely a slow burn up until the fourth act. Let me sum this up....The character development, it was excellent. Cyborg and flash were more important in this movie and not thrown away like the 2017 version. Batman is a little bit more used in this film. Aqua-man is a badass, and Wonder woman is beast. Superman is basically the same but he is OP like a mofo. The action in this film is top tier so I loved that. No need to talk about pacing, no need to talk about story other then a little mix up. Switch StepphenWulf with Darkseid and there you have it. Oh by the way StepphenWulf is a badass also I like his new character design and arc. I wont call him a tragedy character, but I do like the story better then 2017 version. I wish Zack Snyder would stick closer to the comics in certain aspects as far as the death of superman, the doomsday and the way he achieved it through Zod, and a few other things but overall, I liked the movie. I don't mind seeing a part 2 and maybe even a part 3. Hopefully this movie does well enough that not only do they sign Zack Snyder on to complete his trilogy with justice league but to give Henry Cavil another shot at superman since he was barely in this movie, and so he can have a proper send off since they are yet again rebooting the franchise(stupid). my rating for this....I will give this a 7.5 out of 10 stars.
