I needed a dark binge worthy detective series after watching the Broadchurch and i found it! Although Marcella doesn’t explore characters on a deeper level as the above mentioned series, it does charm you enough to put you through an emotional roller coaster where you jump from sympathizing with characters to completely despising them. The detective line is predictable, however interesting and gives you enough cliffhangers to make you watch through the season. The downside here that victims and their families are quite overlooked when it comes to storytelling and drama, as the series build around the Marcela and her private life. So if you click with the main character and the actors you’re in for a good ride.
