The movie features an in depth reality based story line with impressive quality writing. Actors Foxx and Stevenson both deserve exceptional recognition for superb acting in very serious roles. The movie vividly displays the roots of Alabama black culture supported by the solid Southern lingo and poverty ridden homes coupled with the small town buildings adjoining the courthouse. A social studies lesson for Americans.
