The visuals are stunning. Great thought provoking plot. Really cool action scenes. Most of the negative reviews seem to be fans of the original anime version inevitably disappointed by the remake of their favorite. But if you're a normal movie watcher who isn't invested in the original, it stands on its own two feet as a great film. Definitely worth your time.
