Just went to FINALLY see Aladdin. I Was kinda skeptical of it, because it’s never been one of my more favorite Disney movies. But MAN! Not only did Disney manage to keep the story line about the same, but they managed to keep the magic alive as well. They kept all the original songs, and one or 2 new ones. And let me just talk about the best part, the Genie 🧞♂️Will Smith definitely had HUGE shoes to fill, taking the place of the late and great Robin Williams, but he did AMAZING! I almost cried at how effortlessly, and gracefully he played that roll, he deserves an Oscar for his performance in this movie. I really thought since they announced the live action remake, and when they announced the cast, I was like “ah they’re going to really screw this one up, just leave it alone” I was not at all interested in it, then I saw previews and thought ok this looks like it might be pretty good, it was honestly more than I could have ever expected or imagined. They really just DID THAT! They did it again! And they did it justice! They did Robin Williams a wondrous justice as well. Beautiful movie, definitely something I would probably watch 100 times in a row. And I don’t say that about a lot of movies. I am a complete and utter CLASSIC Disney enthusiast, through and through, I bleed Disney. I say “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, leave the Disney movies alone, quit remaking everything live action”. When I watch a live action Disney movie I expect it to be as I remember, I expect the same excitement as I had as a little kid, I have memories that have expectations. This movie they kinda played with a little, but none the less, the plot, and the storyline stayed the same. And the music, ugh the music, it was absolutely perfect. This entire film was done perfectly. I can’t say enough good things about it.
