I've been a Beatles nut since I was about seven. I grew up having reservations about the 1968 White album as I felt it was too erratic. But now, like a lot of people, that's what I love about it. It shows a really human side to the Beatles and one of their most endearing qualities: considering how pioneering and brilliant they were, they never took themselves too seriously. And people can say what they want about Zeppelin but Helter Skelter is definitely the first metal song ever and Macca's vocal is yet to be equalled!
