A good book that is pertinent to our modern times. Islamophobia, and racism in general, are all prevalent in society. The innocence of the main character contrasts with the views of the father, who blames all Muslims for committing a horrid act against his family It deals with bullying, and how toxic behaviour from the parents corrupts the young, with the moral being that love and decency are the only way to move forward in life.

Solo albums can be hit and miss, but The Gift is a hit. I love it.

I have to be honest, a lot of the people giving negative reviews are likely those whom expected a Blumhouse style Slasher film with good looking leads and a cursed shower cap or something. Avoid if you want simple popcorn fodder. Barbarian is a more cerebral horror film then most, but suffers in part due to some overambitiousness. The time skips in the film leave you disoriented and take you out of the film for a short time while you get back into it. The villain's motivation is simple, and probably a little underdeveloped, but the brutality is something that will make grown men squeamish. I like that the leads are more grounded and realistic than those in other films, as it makes their reactions to the horror more believable. There's no one in this movie that comes out unscathed.
