I love the original Grease (1978), and even enjoy its 1982 sequel, so I was more than willing to give this prequel series a chance. I'd heard the advance word that it was "woke" but thought (hoped) that was just online negativity. The first two episodes were very good and didn't appear to be pushing any kind of agenda. I was hopeful the rest of the series would stay on this track. Then I watched the third episode, and that's when it hit the wall. HARD. The woke floodgates opened wide with a song about how white men are bad (sung by dancing old white men, no less) and how everyone else is their collective victim. And that's when I stopped watching. I saw today (June 24, 2023) that the series was cancelled and will be removed from Paramount+ next week. I can't say I'm surprised. Go woke, go broke. The sooner Hollywood learns this, the better off they'll be.

Actors perfectly suited for their roles, top-notch writing and timeless stories make The Andy Griffith Show about as perfect as a TV series can get. There are always laughs to be had and lessons to be learned. I absolutely love this show.
