1) you would think that they would have more scarier & advance special effects but no, the original was still more effective in keeping people not wanting to blink to not miss anything but not wanting to look either with heart pumping almost out off the chest. 2) in the original the emphasis was more on Freddy been a monster of their nightmare, in this one they made it too obvious that he was nothing but a child molester. Very little class took the scary monster out the character. 3) actor was Nowhere near as great as Robert England.
