Very meh. Action movie that starts off VERY slow. The plot has to be explained in a soliloquy, and even then there are plot holes that don't make much sense. The actors did a decent enough job with what they had. You've watched worse. But ultimately this is pretty forgettable.

Very good movie. Well acted by everyone. I had no knowledge of this movie going in and that's part of the charm. It's a movie that works on several layers. It has a message about this time but it is subtle and while obvious it doesn't beat you with it like the audience is stupid. It's funny, and serious. See this one, it's worth your time. It's the kind of movie you want to talk about after.

That was not at all what I was expecting..... and I mean that in bad way. First off the acting of Adrien Brody was amazing. It was deep and complex showing inner struggles while trying to maintain a normal exterior which he didn't do for long. But the story was....... Long and over worker with forced plot devices to get the movie to have drama and a third act conclusion. The direction and cinematography while interesting, tried very very hard to be ART! Like being "cool", if you have to try so hard to be it, it's off putting. The movie then comes back for an epilog, which then had to explain the symbolism in the movie that you the audience was to stupid to understand (which of course wasn't revealed in the actual story). The movie goes out of its way to make a point and that is that the USA is a horrible and terrible place "It's rotten". That's the moral of the story. This one would be a complete pass except for tour-de-force of Brody's acting work which saved this movie from being a total bomb.

This was really enjoyable. This is a well acted movie with a surprisingly strong cast. The action was well done and well paced. It was a good genre action movie. It was a special ops mission gone bad with Russell Crowe as the man in the chair. Liam Hemsworth is the main protagonist, and almost walks into Schwarzenegger territory by the end of movie. First half and the set up was well done and well plotted. The second half is a bit messier, but I thought it held up. In the end it felt like an 80's action movie that you discovered on video tape from the rental store on a Friday night.

Of course Clooney and Pitt have great on screen chemistry. The story is funny, and cute and enjoyable. It's a not a buddy, buddy flick. The plot does lag and they have to catch you up in the end which is lazy writing, but it's certainly not formulimatic. The action also lags a bit at times but there is enough and well designed but it's not an action movie. This is a nice movie, the type you used to rent on a Saturday night because it was good, but a little safe. Ultimately, this is worth the popcorn.

Conclave is a different type of movie. It is a fresh idea and that is rare these days. It is wonderfully shot with detail. The acting is top notch from all the cast. They chew up dialog. They had to to make this movie work. It's quiet and the plot is a bit dull and this movie could have easily been boring. To make a series of papel elections into an interesting story everything had to be spot on, and it was. Conclave is worth the watch.

Wow, did anyone making this movie see how terrible it was? The main character is an ex-empress from a parallel universe and a spin off character from the Discovery series, which might not be canon anymore. The plot makes no sense. It tries to pack too much into the space of a movie. The side characters seem forced and unbelievable and uninteresting. Total pass.

That was exactly what you hope for and expect. It's big, it's action packed, there's enough of a plot to hold it together. It's not Citizen Kane, but it's not supposed to be. There were some holes in the pacing and plot that seem to be because of editing cuts. But overall, it did it's job. Big fights tearing up big cities.

When they put 8 minutes of the film out as a teaser, the entire internet hoped that it wasn't the best 8 minutes... Well I have some bad news. This movie had no plot, terrible script, and a slow pace (and it's an action movie). The only redeeming quality is the acting is pretty good, especially Russell Crowe. This is skipable. And forgettable.
