one of the most overrated, trash movies i've seen

Upon rewatch, this is one of the best movies i've ever seen. i thought this movie at first was overrated and slow. but upon rewatch, this has been a very great film. Sure it's not scary, but the movie is flat out disturbing. This has very dry humor and i like it, i love dry humor. The acting is great. Sure Duvall was tortured, but you need to push yourself to be the best. Jack Nicholson is perfect. Kubrick's cinematography is stunning. This movie i understand why people don't like it. But the slow parts makes the movie even better. This movie is 10/10 in my books. Definitely the best psychological film i've ever seen.

This was the very first movie i've ever seen from Stanley Kubrick. I remember for christmas my dad gave me the special dvd edition because i was into war movies at the time. It has a great story, second funniest movie in my opinion that kubrick made(clockwork orange), memorable characters, great plot, memorable scenes ect. Kubrick was a genius with this movie, this also has the memorable "me so horny, me love you long time". this movie is just amazing. It is his weaker film, but it's still one of my favorites. I'm just a little bias because this was my first Kubrick film. 9.4/10

This movie is terrific. Great message, great plot, and great characters, its not my favorite Kubrick movie, but its top 3. this movie is also unintentionally funny. the beginning fight scene was one of the funniest fight scenes I've ever seen, and that adds it bonus points. Other than that, this movie is really good. 9/10
