chris roberts of star citizen produced this so i assume he's the reason why it was marketed like a michael bay movie and nobody who would like to see it actually did. good movie, sometimes sounds like a guy reading a news article to you but its an important article and it explains to you what happened after the fall of the soviet union and draws a very convincing unbroken line to the massive amounts of brutal warfare in africa shortly thereafter. it also shows why america is constantly doing these seemingly counterproductive deals with its enemies, because guns are big business. andrew niccol also directed gattaca and has a really elegant and engaging style here
