Savy Lux

I came into this movie with high expectations but left the theatre disappointed. I felt like there was rushed character development and the music was mediocre. The soundtrack is one that I don't think I'll revisit. (Except the instrumental pieces. Those were beautifully orchestrated.) I think I came in expecting too much from it. On the bright side, the animation was beautiful and the theme was cute. The representation was great, and there were good aspects. Overall it was very disappointing. The script felt like everyone was trying to get the best one-liner in the entire time. So many of the moments in the movie felt like cheap punchlines. Felt like the whole thing was reaching for low hanging fruit instead of actually digging deeper and finding truly golden moments. This movie had so much wasted potential. If I was 10 I would have enjoyed the movie. Great for kids who aren't thinking about plot, character development, etc.
