I truly enjoyed the film. I read the other reviews as well, and it’s funny how many of them had so many negative things to say.
I got upset at the parents for being so crazy. But i also realized that they both send each other spiraling with each others thoughts of “who did it” which made me question their sanity. Which also compliments what losing a child can do to you. I think they did an excellent job. The film does a great job of having the watcher feel many emotions. The twist at the end makes you realize that this couple is stuck on an endless cycle of grief & now have completely lost their minds on their way to recovery.
As everything unravels, it all makes more sense. Critiquing them for not having an appropriate response to losing their child so “recently” is missing the point that this couple deep down knows the truth. They refuse to accept it; therefore the emotions of grief are displayed before us in this film.
