Honestly this show deserves a way lower rating. I watch this with some close friends thinking it would give me a nostalgic feeling to when I first watch the original animated Winx Club. But I was left with the feeling of disappointment and a little annoyed with how Netflix changed the show. First off the whitewashing on some characters like Flora and Musa just plain bad already. Then they get rid of Techna which is honestly a waste and she was one the reasons why winx club was so cool for the plot with the vast worlds and the early 2000s idea of ‘future’ Netflix could have more to work with in terms of expanding the fantasy of the fairy worlds. The characters here in episodes are very bland especially Bloom who keeps having “main character” syndrome. I hate how everyone bullies Flora even though she’s the most likable character in the whole show. I especially hate the writing of the show with some homophobic comments but that one guy I don’t care to remember his name he’s literally gives to most meanest comments and just an overall bully with no one to correct him for. Again hate that they basically treat Flora like a burden. Almost gives off the message that if you’re over weight or even a little on the heavier side you’re not worthy of a good friend group or even good treatment. Aisha just that boring token black girl who’s only purpose is to serve the main character which is Bloom... and boy does she babysits her a lot. I can honestly go on more with this show but I’ll leave it as that. I never even reviewed anything in my life but this show was soo bad I felt like I needed to type something of so there. This show sucks the writing is the same as the lame show riverdale. The end.
