Just finished Earthrise and it felt lacking. First and foremost what’s up with their voices?? Why...dooo...they...talk..so.....slowww?? Particularly Optimus, whenever he yells it’s like, is he voiced by a child? Doing an impersonation of an adult? Like why does he beg forgiveness? He’s a leader, he does what he’s gotta do. I know the actors are doing there best, but maybe he’s just not the choice, I don’t feel the gravitas that a seasoned leader like Prime should have. That’s my next point what’s up with the writing? Are they purposely making Prime/ autobots look like dummies?? He just walks into obvious traps not listening to his team? They spend all this time readying the Ark just to get captured-like immediately, lost, and run outta gas?? I get that the minute the autobots get airborne they get shot down, but when they rolled the Ark out it was this heroic epic badass moment and now they kinda stepped that back via general autobot ineptitude or just weakness of the ship. Props on the Sky lynx, Galvatron, quints and other pop-up characters but at the same time, six episodes?? I’m no writer but it seems like a few more episodes coulda hashed out some of these moments that felt like rushed or over looked. The animation is great but the design, their bodies are so clunky and bulky. Why do seekers have cybertronian pre-earth alt-modes but red alert transforms into a Lamborghini and prime into a semi, and megs into a tank? I figure ravage should be sleek but he was so bulky!
