Going into Weapons, I wasn't sure what to expect. I'd braced myself for a heavy commentary on school shootings and their impact, but the film quickly subverted those expectations with a surprising supernatural twist. I was impressed by the nonlinear storytelling, which was told effectively from the views of different characters. The movie had a great sense of humor, and I found myself laughing at parts I didn't expect to. The ending, in particular, was absolutely hilarious. Ultimately, the film is an entertaining and funny experience, but it's not trying to make a profound statement. It's best enjoyed for the wild ride it is.
