Amazing recreation of the famous Live Aid performance. Rami Malek delivered,, and just might get an Academy nomination. But the movie overall falls short of expectation, especially as this is about a band composed of four extremely talented and creative artists. The script is laden with cliches and the perspective is heteronormative, if not severely biased (we know who executive produced this, right?). Not the kind of irony I was looking for, I'm afraid.
