Dont waste your money. Gameplay: too many bugs in the gameplay. Throughout a game there are repeated animation glitches- way more than madden 19. Players do not come out of huddle this year. This just instantly line up in formation. It really hurts defenses by taking away valuable time needed for adjusting the defense. Is madden catering to impatient 8 year olds who dont want to wait 5 seconds for the players to line up? X-Factor abilities are great to slap on the box to sell more games, but in reality they are too overpowered and desperately need to be balanced. The defensive line controls still suck. You get to press 2 buttons and have no control of the outcome. I really wish they would bring back the D-Line controls from madden 13 and before. With those u had a variety of moves and combos you could use. Other game modes: Franchise is the exact same besides the addition of the pro bowl. QB1 is good, but it would be nice to play any position. It's still worlds away from a NBA2k mycareer, but then again EA is a lot newer in this boat; considering it's their third year with this type of game mode it's doing pretty good. Ultimate team is more of the same: it was good last year and is still good this year. Overall: The animations and gameplay bugs make the game look less like football and more like a video game. EA will no doubt release updates to fix these numerous issues, but this is still not acceptable. In the olden days you got a good madden right when the game came out. Nowadays you have to wait months after the release dates to get a good madden. I've been playing madden consistently for 15 years and this is arguably the worst one I've played. Also, the coin toss needs to be brought back.
