Don Brierley

Haven’t heard the album yet but I was fortunate be at the Village Vanguard to hear some of it, all of it(?) live. It was a stellar show, the band was focused, tight/relaxed and fluid. The ease with which they played and the fact that they and the audience were in a state of shared bliss makes me think that the Chopin Project is one of the finest new releases of this year, last year, next year… Forget the noise that surrounds us, this is the album.
