I honestly wasn’t sure how I would feel about this movie simply from the title alone. Sometimes I have found that a few lifetime movies haven’t always peaked my interest. However I have to admit as horrible as the subject matter turned out to be, this was a very well acted cast and they did a great job. I spent probably 60% of the movie in tears feeling compassion and outrage on the part of the young daughter that the P.O.S. “dad” she had, had put down in the bunker. As some other reviewers have stated, I thought he might’ve sent her down there to learn a lesson for maybe a few weeks to a month, I was astounded how long this poor young woman wound up staying down there. He not only stole a huge chunk of her life from her, but he made his “kids/grandchildren” spend a chunk of their lives there as well and never got vaccines and any other life saving medical treatments that they might’ve have needed and going to school and making friends etc. I just am at a loss for words for what took place but I’m hoping that she and the rest of their family were able to try and pick up the pieces of their life and find a way to move past it eventually. Definitely recommend watching it as far as the acting being great, just have to have a strong stomach to deal with everything else.
