It’s watchable. When it comes to treasure hunting plots, it’s always more believable that older protagonists, who have studied history and other subjects a long time, would figure things out fast. That said, it makes a little sense that a young woman on DACA might study American history. The characters are fun, the storyline is a little ridiculous, but it’s a treasure hunting show, not an art house feature. It deserves a better rating than it’s getting. It’s light, silly fun.
I applaud the diverse casting and in-show references to modern equality and civil rights issues. Everything is worked in in a way that still keeps the overall tone light and fun.
