The magic is gone. No character development. All humans follow the lead of the same old villain who has gathered a nasty crew around him. After ruining Earth, they haven't learned a thing and are off to wreck another world. Even Jake and his family are flat. This is an exotic war movie with lots of special effects. It lacked the color and fascination of the original. It was visually dark, the beginning even looks black and white. Towards the end of the movie and lowered my 3D glasses and found that the screen was much brighter but the fact that the 3D glasses were dark made a difference. I really wanted to love this movie but I couldn't.
