I would like to say 21/2. The movie "made me look," but, as much as I appreciate Phoenix's acting, I didn't EVER buy him as Napoleon. Additionally, after the first stunningly graphic battle scene, I didn't need to see more. But that's just me.

Don't miss this film! It's worth every minute of the 31/2 hours spent mesmerized by Martin Scorcese's tour d' force. I can't imagine there will be a better, more important movie this year.
