Dear CBS,
My husband and I love Bob Hearts Abishola. One of our favorite characters is Bob's mom--she reminds us of one of our friends, so we told her and a few other Christian sisters about the show. Boy! Are we embarrassed now!
The episode they saw was so unexpectedly vulgar--Kemi and her pharmacist, Chukwuemeka. They've all said nothing; lovingly pretended like they didn't see it. Why did you decide to highlight such blatant disrespect for a mother in her own house, and, in public--which is just as humiliating to a woman, who if only by virtue of her age, deserves to be treated with dignity! The world does not need to be "entertained" by ANY! girlfriend, fiancee or wife treating their boyfriend, fiance, or husband's mothers like garbage. And, CBS, why such a heavy emphasis on sex? Kemi is a great sidekick, but no one needs to know, let alone watch, how immoral she is. Morality is still an important quality that we want our children to possess, don't you think? (You DO realize Kemi dropping the bar of soap in Chukwuemeka's lap, then reaching for it, made every man, woman, and CHILD mentally take the plunge with Kemi's hand to retrieve the object of her intent--NOT THE SOAP, right?!) That was irresponsible of you. Is there a particular demographic you are trying to attract? I'm offended for them! Please, let this show remain clean fun. PLEASE! We love this show..., and we really hope that, unlike so many others that have started out clean, then descended into debauchery for no good reason, Bob Hearts Abishola can remain in our weekly TV lineup. Thank you for allowing comments.
