I received a Nintendo Switch with a Mario Kart 8 Deluxe game as a gift in 2020. I wasn't a huge gamer before, but once I had the chance to play this game, I realized how much fun I was having and quickly became addicted! Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a racing game that every Nintendo Switch owner should buy! The game provides a fun and thrilling experience with various characters, karts, and parachutes. There are over 40 characters to choose from, my favorite is pink Yoshi with a Yoshi motorcycle and sugar glider parachute. Every character, kart, and parachute you choose will come with its own attributes and abilities, allowing us to choose from what we like and what matches our racing style. There are a wide variety of tracks, including 24 different cups, each of which will have four tracks. The track comes with unique obstacles and excellent graphics, making every lap of a race exciting and new. My favorite track is in the leaf cup, called Yoshi Valley Track. I like them because, obviously, Yoshi is my favorite character, and the graphic is so adorable. Additionally, there are 20 items in the game, such as the Spiny Shell, Golden Mushroom, and Piranha Plant. These items can help you become the first finisher, but sometimes they can make you feel hot-headed if you get hit by them. This game comes in four major modes, including single-player, multiplayer, online-one-player, and online-two-player. Personally, I like to play in the multiplayer mode and play locally to compete with my friends. In this mode, we can play with up to 4 people locally to compete with our friends and bots in the game (the bot's difficulty is adjustable). I recommend you connect your Nintendo Switch to a dock and play it on the television because this mode will divide your screen into four sections if you play with 3–4 people and two sections if you play against a friend. Therefore, it is very hard to see if you play on the Switch’s screen. We can choose whether to play a normal racing game (Grand Prix), team mode, or battle mode, such as trying to hit each other's balloons using items in the game. In my opinion, Grand Prix mode is the most fun because it's classic and I never get bored, followed by battle mode, specifically a balloon game, and lastly, team mode. In the end, it is no wonder that Mario Kart has been such a popular game for a long time. This is due to its addictive gameplay, excellent graphics, game dynamics, fast response controller, variety of modes, and all I mentioned above. With a diverse character, a wide selection of tracks, and exciting multiplayer modes, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the perfect game for players of all ages who love thrilling races and intense competition. Overall, I give this game a perfect 10/10, and again, everyone who owns a Nintendo Switch should consider buying this game! The price is a little pricy, but I'm sure that it will be worth it.
