The graphics are really good. They did an awesome job with the water and natural flow of the environment. The characters look good too. Really annoying when you use your focus and the camera angle changed so you are now trying to see through a tree or large bush that is behind Aloy.
The climbing is very annoying. Aloy has a habit of going in whatever direction she chooses and not in the one you are trying to go. She also gets stuck on the smallest little branch or shrubbery. Otherwise the movement in the game is pretty good.
The combat is ok. Dodging attacks is next to impossible, and her melee attacks are not very powerful. So you have to use your ranged attacks close combat on a lot of fights.
The story is good. It opens up more of Earth. And has possibilities to continue the series. I am not impressed with the "inclusiveness" and "feminist ideology" in the game. Almost every strong, smart, or successful character is female. I like the main character (Aloy) as she was in Zero Dawn. Strong, smart, cunning, and a very well rounded character. In this, it's like she got all bossy and just unpleasant to those that are loyal to her. And just about every other main or supporting character is female. It got old real fast. It made the game un-enjoyable. Political, social, and religious views don't belong in games in my opinion.
In summary. Good story, just leave out all the bs. Graphics are great. Game play is good, fix some bugs and balance some things out that were mentioned above. This game gets a 2☆ from me. Mostly because of the overboard "inclusiveness" and "feminist ideology". I hope they continue the series. But get away from all of the "woke" stuff.
Have a good one all. 👍
