===> BUY THIS GAME <===
I first played Elmo's Letter Adventure on the Nintendo 64, and was in love. It was one of the very few games to use this "original sound track" thing they did. The music was very well done and upbeat, and I can still listen to it today when I want a nice dose of nostalgia. You'll recognize most of the tracks from this game as they are, you guessed it, already in the beloved Sesame Street Level Pack.
If you're not familiar with this series of games, all you need to know is that it's based on letters of the alphabet, and you start each level by punching one of them. Each letter has a color, and there are different letter games to do along the way, but you must always input the letter you're looking for before you can progress to the next level. Pretty simple, and pretty fun! Elmo is our talking Sesame Street star. Not the crazed furry thing.
So as I said, I originally bought this game with along several other games for the Nintendo 64. This bundle is one of the best deals I've seen recently. A whopping six games from one store, at one time! For $70 you're in for a real treat, especially if you have kids. A relatively fresh cartridge like this (circa 2000) usually retails for around $35-40. With more than several hours of content for you to explore, I'd say you get a good value for your buck.
One of the best things to do in this game is to collect each and every letter in the fastest way possible. Best of all, the game is completely RNG free, meaning that cheaters are unable to manipulate their odds of winning. (Dream team are notorious for being cheaters.) Overall, the quick paced word game play can be both fun and exciting, for parents, and kids alike. My favorite letters to play in the game were vowels like "I" and "A", plus the consonants "N" and "G".
The people who made this game should be proud of the masterpiece they created. It might not be as well known as the famous Crash Bandicoot series, or the Mario Kart games. But if you're willing to take a chance, you will have a blast playing this game. If you're a nostalgic person, like me, then this game is sure to please!
