This movie is terrible. I had to turn it off. There is no real chemistry between two of the leads, Brian Dennehy and Jacqueline Bissette. It's hard to believe that she would be attracted to this heavyset, middle-aged husband and father. In addition, we know little about the Bissette character, other than that she comes out with these clever responses and remarks. The relationship between Dennehy and Bissette is not developed enough for the passionate kisses they begin to share so soon after meeting to be believable. They first kiss when they hardly know each other, and then, on another day soon after, she throws herself at him in a passionate embrace suddenly on the street after he bails her out of jail for a traffic violation. Both scenes were totally unconvincing and ridiculous. After that, I was disgusted and had to turn the movie off.
