I took two of our teenage grandchildren to see this movie, at the cost of $75 (tickets, popcorn and drinks), without reading the reviews. How can the follow-up to the charming first version can be bad??? Seating in the nearly empty theater, I had an awful suspicion that something was wrong, and I was right! It was probably the worst movie I’ve seen in my life. The bad acting did not help. No wonder that Rotten Tomatoes rated it 16 out of 100! Don’t waste your time and money—be smarter than I was!!!

Very disappointed with this movie! After reading the excellent book, “The Last Day of Night,” my wife and I were eager to see the movie but became suspicious when the theater was nearly empty. No wonder! Without reading that other book, we would have been completely lost. The movie is dark, disjointed and hard to follow. Don’t waste your time and money on it! By the way, I am an electrical engineer, so I could follow the technical parts, but for a novice they can be confusing. Get the book mentioned above and you’ll love it.
