I grew up in Georgia. There is a lot of childhood similarities of which Mr. Grisham described so well. Living through this story in a young northern man’s eyes was at time comical of which I laughed so hard and there were times I felt the fear and at the end cried. From my experience the corruption in law enforcement and bending of laws was just as they were written in this book. My small town was just like Clanton. Most of us were glad when the people of color were recognized as humans.
Bravo Mr. Grisham! Well done.
