This movie progresses with glacial speed. This entire screenplay could have been done easily in a half hour TV episode. Costner flunks as a retired sheriff of 30 years. He allows his gun to be deflected and knocked from his hands by a couple of amature punks. This happens at FINALLY the end of this movie. The only real action sequences after an eternity of not much really going on. This all takes place after Costner enters a farm house in the middle of Nowhere North Dakota. A farm house with no watch dogs! What??? Yep. After the perps are shot up pretty good in about five minutes or so, Mrs Costner drives off into the sun up with daughter in law and grandson to live happily ever after. Everyone else is dead in the burning farm house. Who cares?
