This movie made me angry. It made absolutely no sense whatsoever. The good: I went into this movie with no knowledge of it. Reminded me of a Stephen King flick...very Children of the Corn-ish... which I ended up being correct. That made the movie somewhat bearable, considering I'm a fan. The bad: Everything else. I know this movie is supposed to make you feel uncomfortable, but its ridiculous how truly unsettling the vibe of this movie is...so much so, that I couldn't keep focus. There is no explanation to anything that happens to the character. On top of that, this movie is boring. I didn't even finish the entire film. I figured if the whole movie was that unexplainable, then the ending would be no better. Don't waste your time on this film.

Yikes. I had a lot of hopes going into this movie! It looks great, the mood is very tense like something is always about to happen. The acting is very real, like you’re watching a “normal” family on Thanksgiving. The music is chaotic...very much sets the tone for how Krisha is feeling at times throughout the film. I understand this movie is about addiction/alcoholism and how it affects families...but it would’ve been nice to see a flashback or two of WHY the family is so angry at Krisha. Did she kill someone? Did she just do typical things addicts do? Does she always mess up family get togethers? You have no idea as to what’s she’s done because they not once show or speak of anything specific. They hint at being hurt by something major in the past through random conversations and side glances, but they never actually establish any storyline or back story. By then end, you’re left feeling like something is missing. It’s really disheartening. This movie had SOOOO much potential.
