This story would have made a fun, fast-paced darkly humorous film of two hours or less. As a six-hour mini-series, it's bloated and lugubrious. You guys need a film editor who is merciless and knows that a dozen slo-mo underwater ocean shots are unnecessary when one or two will do. The graphic nature of the 'suitcase' scene near the end was simply juvenile and gross. I felt sorry for the actor.

Jack Black is one hell of an actor. And come on, Shirley MacLaine? She is, too. This IS a classic.
