It was a token of warmth and love in this cold, dry and sad winter, loved the entire series, the cast was amazing, each one of them was so good.This drama would not have been sooo good if the supporting characters were not much developed and they had amazing stories of thier own which were not overshadowed by main leads.Every person was a main character in its own way. loved the leads and thier acting especially xu xiao was my favourite and the relationship he had with his son, the episode in which he meets his son is soooooo good and their encounter was so good I replayed it several times each time it hits different and did not failed to make me smile, loads of smile and with that bald taoist in the palace and their discussions xu xiao literally had an amazind and amuzing relationship with literally everyone....even with his enemies.It was iconic when xu fengnian called Wang XIanzi sweet potato.LI chungong was amazing, his relationship with xu fengnian, jiang ni, wang xianzi and every one around him was sweet. This drama effortlessly managed to grasp my attention from the start till the last episode.It is also one of the very few dramas which I watched or should I say compelled me to watch till the end because dispite being attentive I could not forsee what will happen next. I enjoyed the twists and turns and this drama satisfied my craving at each episode.Ifell in love with the bonding, affection, care and trust this drama showed between the father and son, the xu siblings, the care they had for their underlings and the ones who fought alongside them and died during the process. it was satisfying to watch each of them interacting with them, It was heartwarming. I can feel the warmh and love of a family, a father, a brother, a son,a sister,a companion,a teacher...
