I am an avid movie goer; the film is entertaining in regards to plot. I am a fan of Russell Crowe. The point that I got out of this movie wasn’t necessarily the road rage in itself; in totality it’s the degree of how our society treats each other and just how important mental health awareness is. I watched this movie January 2021, and in a time of the pandemic, politics, hate, cruelty, etc. it’s understandable how one could snap. Violence is never okay, but as a healthcare professional and future psychiatric provider I can appreciate how the film conveys the reality of the depravity of the world. Bottom line: simple acts of kindness and love are immeasurable. Eradicating the stigma behind mental health is long overdue.
