Overall 3.5 to 3.8 stars " i came out of the theatre post brahmastra movie, i passed by person who sells 3D rides tickets in the logix mall noida , he started pursing me to buy 3d ride tickets, i told him i watched brahmastra and he winked and let me go without pursuing any further...all in all it is a movie where VFX are on maxed out dose of steroids" Great courageous attempt, good VFX and Songs. Average story which went into artificial unnecessary love Poor dialogues and disastrous alia bhat screenplay . Movie felt very long some editing would have made it crisper..movie went very close to being called roller coaster ride. 5 star for the attempt from ayaan 5 star for solid screenplay by lead actors ranbir kapoor and mouni roy. Thanks for not giving too much screen time to other actors 5 star for background score. Still rings in my head. 4 star for VFX attempt. .many places looked a bit overwhelming and avoidable.Please next movie spend less budget on actors and more on quality VFX. ALSO PLZ PLZ NEXT MOVIE SHOOT AND RELEASE IN IMAX FORMAT. audience is happy with one protagonist who is solid and other small screen high quality artists(vs the one who charge a tonne) 4 star for songs ( one or two songs looked unnecessary and could have been edited) 1 star for extremely poor dialogues. 1 star for alia bhatts acting ( looked very artificial....no facial expressions no voice modulation...nothing). Felt like she is the quiz master of the movie asking...shiva tum kaun ho...ye kaun hai...vo kya hai...tumhe aag jalati kyu nahin....Her character was more QnA. 1 star for not connecting people and story of brahmastra and not demonstrating links with vedas puran etc. This was really a big missout in an intro movie...( learn art of story telling from Amish's novels about shiva).

Well I saw IMDB rating of 6 and said to myself .is this worth the time? But it's one class of a romantic movie . (Spoiler alert warning in below). The director pushpdeep have setup the stage in perfect nostalgia of Indian movies. ie. "the Indian Mumbai delhi train". And while whole of the present day of movie is in The train , it doesn't leave you bored as the flashbacks run perfectly in the Old Delhi setup,paratha wali gali of the world. There are enough little twists in this simple story to keep you hooked to the seat, while you relish Javed Mohsin and sameul akansha's romantic numbers which enters at the sweet spots whenever you feel a bit overwhelmed with the story. I wish they would have shown most of th kasmir (not just one frame !). Now talking about some lose ends, the tension between the duo is somehow not convincing enough, may be the female protagonist was shown to be a bit too aggressive (drinking neat whiskey from bottle..cumon who does that ) to convince India audience. SaaS bahu conflicts are too 80'ish as well. However despite above both the new comer leads (Rhea and Varun) handled their characters with total gravity. I loved the transformation Rhea shows in her character , she is charming as a lover and is able to display composure while heart broken. Kudos to the writers Kausar and pushpdeep for their brilliance. I will end it up with amazing dailgoe. "unse mohabbat kamal ki hoti hai jinka milna mukaddar me hi nahi hota". Watch it if you are in love or ever were!

Just too good... background score .. melodious music and with it the ups and downs of life sewn into a back and forth of struggle of a sportsperson ..very well directed. Shahid Kapoor has really matured as a great actor in past few years... performances by pankaj Kapoor takes the spirits of movie to another level. Every scene is thoughtfully well written. Shot and executed...Kudos to entire team and thankyou for such a lovely content.

Splendid , the movie is a visual treat and cinematography masterpiece..every frame is like an amazing photograph. Plot takes you from a hopeless situation of the characters to a reasonable conclusion with a good social message .With lit bit ups and downs and 2 good songs at right time..it's an amazing must watch. (PS: if you are looking for mindless romantic masala, please DONOT watch this movie)

It's an OK one time.watch Poor VFX, action sequences from 90's ( except the scene which is shown in the trailor ),no goosebumps moments and single actor (Kangana) presence for almost 3 hours is what pulls manikarnika movie down. Pros : Kangana'S acting. It's not a movie..but a good documentary. I watched it on 26th Jan when the enthusiasm of people is usually high and people even woo and clap on Sallu bhai's dialogues..but I didn't hear a single clap moment in the movie while Laxmi bai does deserve many ( eternal clPs for her).
