This is spoiler-free. The prologue underwhelmed me, so I left it. But after my friend's constant nagging, I finally picked it up. And I couldn't put it down. This is the first duology I've rated five stars, and I'm sure it'll be the last because I doubt anything can meet my standards now. The plot is amazing, universe unique, characters unmatched. There is some painfully awesome romance, but it doesn't overshadow the story at all. Having said that, every aspect of the duology was amazing. 1000/10 recommend.
